What is Love?

“LOVE”

What is Love?

Miracles occur all around us.

They are signs from God, although we let many pass us by – - – - – - – -why?

Because we think too much, we analyze, and evaluate a situation, rather than going with our ‘gut’ feeling.

…………….’Love is just Love’ ………………

Is it because we have been taught that there are certain formulas and rules that we must follow?

Is it because we fear rejection?

There are no rules when it comes to Love.

You can’t buy it, no matter how wealthy you are.

You can’t steal it, as it has to be given freely.

You can’t bargain for it, or manipulate it.

‘Love is just Love’

It comes from out of nowhere, and it is very rare – so when you feel it, grab it by the horns and draw it in, if it turns out not to be love, you have lost nothing, but if you don’t draw it in, you will never know,  and spend the rest of your life wondering, yearning, dreaming, yet not living because ‘fear’ is holding you back.

To love – is to be in communion with the other, and to discover in that other – the spark of God.

“so ……….. I’m going to continue to think about you fondly, have passionate dreams about you in my own little world.  I will continue to ask for signs from God  on how you feel about me. I will ask for songs to show me what you are feeling,  how you think and what I mean to you now and in the future.  I will live in my fantasy world, for right now this is as real to me as if we were together.  I will continue to care for you, to send you little messages every now and then, to stay in touch through the silver thread that connects my heart to yours.  I may even pluck up enough courage to ring you and possibly come and see you – I will continue to love you my way until — you tell me to go away.  Then I’ll leave. But I know that I will love you for the rest of my life.”

I have learned to bury my feelings for fear of being hurt, yet I know that in every hurt there is growth, and growth leads to mastery and bliss.

Do not look back or you may define yourself by who you have been, rather than by who you are becoming now.

“In Every Love Lies The Seed Of Our Growth”

True Love is an act of total surrender.

When you ‘Love’ you conquer the world, and have no fear of loss, because you know that love can never be lost as it lives inside your heart forever, and will come out again and again and again and again.

……… this is an excerpt from the book “By The River Piedra I Sat Down And Wept” by Paulo Coelho —

If one person really wants us, everyone does. But, if we’re alone, we become even more alone. Life is strange that way.

In the book  ’The I Ching’ ………

“It says that a city can be moved but not a well.  It’s around the well that lovers find each other, satisfy their thirst, build homes, and raise their children. But if one of them decides to leave, the well cannot go with them. Love remains there, abandoned – even though it is filled with the same pure water as before.”

Love is always new. Regardless of whether we love once, twice or a dozen times in our life, we always face a brand-new situation.

Love can consign us to hell or to paradise, but it always takes us somewhere. We simply have to accept it, because it is what nourishes our existence. If we reject it, we die of hunger, because we lack courage to stretch out a hand and pluck the fruit from the branches of the tree of life.

We have to take love where we find it, even if it means hours, days, weeks of disappointments and sadness.

“Love doesn’t ask many questions, because if we stop to think, we become fearful. It’s an inexplicable fear; it’s difficult even to describe it. Maybe it’s the fear of being scorned, of not being accepted, or of breaking the spell. It’s ridiculous, but that’s the way it is. That’s why you don’t ask-you act. As you’ve said many times, you have to take risks.”

………. you make thousands of plans, you imagine every possible conversation, you promise to change your behaviour in certain ways – and you feel more and more anxious until your loved one arrives.

But by then, you don’t know what to say. The hours of waiting have been transformed into tension, the tension has become fear, and the fear makes you embrassed about showing affection.

“The gift of pure love allows you to bless others and accept them without condition, granting them the freedom to make their own choices and live with them, and giving your Divine Self the freedom to do the same.” Neale Donald Walsch

Love is like a trap. When it appears, we see only light, not its shadows.
